Well, given that most HD-buyers will have some recent flat screen TV, the under/overscan shouldn't even be a concern for the editors... because LCDs/plasmas overscan in a certan fashion? i trust you, just angling at details. i'll be okay, i know that much now, but... in general, if you're BR or HD ...

to what extent do the BR and DVD editions seem to underscan? is there's a generic reason for doing this, or is it just a fault? i suspect it's something to do with their preference for how to present HD content, ensuring everything is displayed...? there's no simple 'fits all' solution to displaying...
