since its for sketch purposes, i keep it unchanged.

but usually, when working with colorists, i hand them original lines and AND a copy with blue shade, for shadow reference. no alteration in PS.

I do this with colorists because Sometimes, they aren't keen enough to properly break my volumes and shapes down, so i provide them with a drawing with shadows like the one above, so that they dont have to worry about where to drop light sources and figure out all the line work.

its easier for them and i dont have to worry about them coloring my shapes wrong. it also isnt any time off of my process because its included
