I take the liberty to inform you Tsuka : your forum and website are VERY famous out of France ! I was in Stockholm 2 days ago and many people talked about Catsuka. Swedish animators are frustrated, because there are many great articles, but they don't understand them. They want more articles in English :ksplitch:

Maybe could you also add a forum dedicated to English speakers. They are shy to post something in English, while French is mainly used on Catsuka forum ;)

My 2 cents !

Yes, I know that I have many foreign people following me here (and also on twitter). That's why I added little english translations at the end of my news last year.
About adding an english forum here, the problem is that there would be several topics on the same subject, which is not a good idea I think. I prefer 1 topic for 1 subject, where everybody can post. Perhaps I should post also my few words in english when I relay informations here ...
Or simply add a commentary system on my news, for those who don't know that Catsuka forums exist... But well, I have to make choices regarding my freetime (I can't manage / follow too much things).

But I confirm : you have many foreigners who read Catsuka ;)

Chichi a écrit :You have a good initiave, but don't worry if no one answer to your post...
The reason is, most of the people here have already seen all those awesome short films. :kfniko:
Hi Chichi,

thanks for responding. I don't mind so much that people don't reply. I mainly post here to keep the interest for the book alive. Just like Tsuka I care greatly about all things animation. So even though I am repetitive it I hope it will be for the greater good.

If you know of any films that have yet to come out feel free to write me at: theartofshortfilms@gmail.com

I hope to have to book ready for print some time in june and there are still a couple of spaces left

Hello everyone! Without getting too much Tzuka's nerves I post another great film that has been selected for "The art of Short films" book

This time we are again going to the cold north where the mead flows freely and a warriors death is what everyone want smile

The great film has attracted much attention last year and it is therefore my pleasure the present to you The Saga of Biorn!

This film was directed by Benjamin Kousholt. Together with his class mates Daniel D. Christensen, Mads Lundgaard Christensen, Jesper A. Jensen, Jonas K. Doctor, Steffen Lyhne, Pernille Ørum-Nielsen, Frederik Bjerre-Poulsen and Jonas Georgakakis, they managed to pull us in with their funny situational comedy about a warrior desperately searching for a place in Valhalla.

No problem :-)
As we said before, we just tried to let you know that most of these films have already been posted on Catsuka (and discussed on these forums), in case if you didn't noticed (and if you was surprised by the lack of answers).
Even if I thought that your goal was probably not to make people discover films here, but just indeed to keep people informed about the progress of your nice project.
So just go on :-)

Hi everybody! I am happy to present to you our next contributor. Louise Bagnall is not only a talented artist and director, but also really fun to be around. I met her at a pan European course in project development and have persuaded her to be part of my book.

Her film "Donkey" is a lovely story about the confinements of society and coming back to your roots.

You can watch it here:http://www.thisisirishfilm.ie/shorts/donkey

Make sure you stop by her blog as well.

Hi guys! A late post this time, but still very happy to share this one with you.

Directed by Iain Gardner, The Tannery is a story about a fox having a life after death experience. I admire the hard work that went into making this film and am happy that Iain decided to be part of the book.

The film is not yet released to the public but a trail can be seen here:

After his successful film he landed jobs at House of Cool, Blue Sky and Disney.
