I am afraid not yet. It is currently in pre-production looking for the last financing to go into production. But I assume it would be finished by the end of this year. You'll have to be patient :)

Hi everyone! Finally back after a horrid time stuck in Amsterdam airport :p But I have been looking forward to showing you this film for a while.

Coming from Viborg Denmark, Nørlum, a young animation company made this fabulous film"Dog in Heaven" together with Basmati films and with support from Danish Film Institute, Vest Danish film fund, Anis, and Animation Workshop.

Director Jeanette Nørgaard had this to say about the film:"My ambition with ’Dog in Heaven’ is to give a young audience a full film experience. I’m not compromising the grave aspects of the story in order to spare the kids, nor either the stylized universe.

The story evolves around the main character, Lora, and her grief from the loss of her beloved companion, Dog. The heavy subject gets a lift up when Lora turns into a dog as a protest against the monastery’s rules."

It is currently touring the festival circuit right now so perhaps you can get to see it at Annecy this year.

Make sure to check out Nørlum's website (noerlum.com) as they do some interesting things and Ellen Riis at Basmati films (basmatifilm.dk)is such a generous person so please send her short films projects.

I heard about this movie when it was still a WiP. I'm glad to know it's finally over !

But too bad, it won't be in Annecy this year, it seems :ksad:

Hi everyone!!

Hungary is such an amazing country with many talented directors and artists. Here a couple to watch out for: Zsuzsanna Kreif and Borbála Zétényi. They are directing a short film called Limbo Limbo Travel which they developed together while at MOME.

Join them in a very unique universe with little naked bearded men and giant voluptuous women. Here is what Zsuzsanna had to say about the film:
" A bunch of disappointed, lonely women takes part on a bus journey to find love on a distant, exotic island, if at home that's not possible anymore. On the island there lives a peacfully tribe of men who are tiny, but supplied with a huge orange moustache. The women get enchanted by them for the first time, and do anything to catch and keep one of them. "

Make sure to keep an eye out for the film. It is currently in pre production and should go into production soon.

You can see some of Szuzsanna's unique designs and illustrations here:

I am particularly proud of this film which was masterfully made by Padraig Fagan and Eimhin McNamara and produced by Barley Films. It has won several awards and nominated for an Annie Award as well. Made in stop motion with some innovative mixed medium technicals I am happy to include it amongst the films that will be in the book

Hi everyone! It Tuesday and I wanted to tell everyone that it's going really well with putting the book together. I'm almost halfway and will be sharing some of the pages soon, so keep checking for updates every so often.

Also don't forget about our cover competition! I can't wait to see all the great entries and will share them with you once they start coming in.

This weeks entry comes from Hungary called Mrs. Toupee by Barbara Bakos.

"This film is a lovestory about an old lady who lives in her memories and cant let go of the most important person of her life."

It is currently being made by Baestarts Studio in Hungary and Barbara is directing it.

You can see more of her work her:

For those following the progress of the book I can happily announce that I have finished setting up the pages and am well on my way to have it proof read. Hopefully I'll have it ready for mid or end June for release big_smile

If you are sitting out there thinking: "darn I'd wish I had sent my film in", or "I am working on my film now", then don't despair. If all goes well and I sell even a remote amount of book I'll be working on volume 2 come this winther. So send me an email and even if you are not ready with the material I am happy to keep you in mind for the volume 2.

All the best,

Morten Enevoldsen
