Redline Ronin and The Seven Deadly Swords - Indie Cyberpunk Animation

Message par unitzer07 »

Greetings Catsuka forum!

My name is Chris Boylan,

I've been developing this show for a while and decided to make an "anime intro" during quarantine. Please enjoy the first opening for "Redline Ronin and The Seven Deadly Swords":

The animation was made in Blender using the EEVEE real time render engine with additional 2d effects in TVPaint. Any questions or comments are appreciated!

That's pretty cool !

Well, some animations are a bit choppy sometimes (lack of inbetweens like at 1:54) and in others shots the animation kind of "floats" with a bit too much inbetweens (like at 1:20) but over all it's quite effective and dynamic.

Good job ! :pandaperfect:

Great feedback! This project was an immense learning experience, and I felt myself improving with each new scene. I'll work towards a smoother integration between the full spline and stepped keys in the next one!

I know handling curves is not always easy in 3D softwares, specially with quick changes of pace.
In my opinion, the most efficient way is to go quickly near the target pose and make a cushion with as few frames as possible to avoid "floating" too much around.
