Le projet animé chinois To Be Hero X - que j'ai largement aidé à promouvoir à l'international via mes réseaux sociaux (plusieurs millions de vues) il y a quelques mois - va devenir réalité, et en co production avec le Japon, ce qui n'arrive pas tous les jours pour un donghua.
En effet, le producteur nippon Aniplex rejoint le chinois Bilibili pour cette suite animée à l'univers To Be Hero, avec toujours Li Haolin à la réalisation.
Le studio BeDream semble être en charge, sachant que le pilote avait été produit par les studios Paper Plane, LAN, PB Animation, et B.Cool.

Une exposition célébrant le lien entre le Studio Ghibli & Friday Roadshow (une case de Nippon TV connue notamment pour diffuser les films du studio) se tiendra à Tokyo du 29 juin au 27 Septembre.
Et cet événement présentera notamment des sculptures grandeur nature des Ohmu & autres créatures de Nausicaa réalisées par l'artiste Takayuki Takeya.
L'occasion de rappeler que cet artiste est également honoré ce mois-ci avec un nouveau artbook, référencé depuis un moment sur Catsuka Shopping : The Making of the Toxic Jungle.

Produit par le Studio 4°C, cet anime est basé sur le manga Phoenix d'Osamu Tezuka, il est réalisé par Shojiro Nishimi (Mutafukaz, Batman Gotham Knight) que l'on avait plus vu à ce poste depuis longtemps, épaulé de Shinji Kimura à la direction artistique, et Tatsuzo Nishida en character designer.
Sortie prévue cette année sur Disney+.

Nouvelle copieuse bande annonce pour le long métrage live Shin Kamen Rider, réalisé par Hideaki Anno (Evangelion, Shin Godzilla, Shin Ultraman...).
Attention, vu que le film est déjà sorti depuis une semaine au Japon, ce trailer dévoile donc forcément pas mal de nouvelles choses (mais bon, ceux qui veulent ne pas se faire spoiler savent bien logiquement qu'il ne faut pas regarder les bande annonces en général ;-).
A noter également qu'un documentaire making-of de 80min sera diffusé dans une semaine au Japon par la NHK.

Le 4e court métrage musical de l'anthologie TOHO Animation Music Films est en ligne, et il est magnifique :

Encore une collaboration marketing qu'on ne voit qu'au Japon, entre le film live Shin Kamen Rider d'Hideaki Anno et la chaîne de fast food nippone Mos Burger.
Et ce dans une pub de près de 2 minutes (que j'avais déjà repéré lors de son teasing furtif/éphémère), mettant en scène les méchants du film / l'organisation démoniaque SHOCKER de l'univers Kamen Rider (qui en outre font aussi de la promo ailleurs).

Raoul Servais s'est éteint le 17 mars 2023 à l'âge de 94 ans.
Pionnier et figure emblématique de l'animation belge, et également illustrateur, il était notamment connu pour des court métrages comme Harpya et Papillons de nuit.
Il était aussi l'inventeur d'une technique d'animation bien à lui, la servaisgraphie, et fût l'un des premiers membres de l'ASIFA (Association internationale du film d'animation).

WIT Studio vient de mettre en ligne "Fuyu no Okurimono", un court métrage de 12 min réalisé par Kazuaki Terasawa, coproduit avec le Studio Kafka, ainsi que le label musical japonais Flying Dog, puisque le film tourne autour de la chanson "Haru no Yume" de Junna (et sera proposé en bonus Bluray de son nouvel album).
Si le court n'est pas forcément mémorable, j'aime toujours pointer quand des gros studios japonais font des court métrages, car c'est assez rare.
