Le long métrage d'animation "Flow" de Gints Zilbalodis se dévoile un peu plus dans un nouvel extrait publié (en 4K) par Allociné.
Pour rappel, ce film, coproduit par Sacrebleu, Dream Well et Take Five, est sélectionné aux festivals de Cannes (Un Certain Regard) et d'Annecy.
Et pour rappel également, la première fois que j'ai partagé le travail de ce réalisateur letton, c'était en 2012. Il avait 17 ans, et il venait déjà de réaliser en solo un court métrage (mettant déjà aussi à l'époque en scène un chat en personnage principal).

Le nouveau / 3ème long métrage d'animation 3D français d'Astérix a désormais un titre : "Astérix et le Royaume de Nubie" (Asterix, The Kingdom of Nubia).
Déjà évoqué dans mes colonnes il y a un an, le film est réalisé par Alexandre Heboyan ("Mune"), sur un scénario de Matthieu Delaporte & Alexandre de la Patellière ("Le Comte de Monte-Cristo").
Sortie espérée en 2026, et préventes au Marché du Film de Cannes ces prochains jours.
Il est donc loin le temps où SND / M6 Studio espéraient enchaîner les films d'Astérix rapidement (le 1er date de 2014, le second de 2018).

Content de voir que la réalisatrice Lucrèce Andreae ("Pépé le Morse" / ancienne des Gobelins) développe son premier long métrage d'animation, "Bergeronnette".
Produit par Miyu, le projet sera pitché au prochain Festival d'Annecy.

Plus de 12 ans après, le projet de long métrage d'animation français "La Balade de Yaya" ne semble toujours pas avoir été enterré.
En effet, le projet sera pitché au prochain Festival d'Annecy, avec une nouvelle réalisatrice, Hefang Wei (Louise et la légende du serpent à plumes), associée au studio Blue Spirit.
Basé sur la bande dessinée de Golo Zhao et Jean Marie Omont, et évoqué pour la première fois dans mes colonnes en 2012, ce projet de film a changé de mains plusieurs fois (Cédric Babouche ayant été un temps réal dessus).

Le film "Jungle Emperor" (Kimba the White Lion / Le Roi Léo) réalisé en 1966 par Eiichi Yamamoto et Mushi Production (le studio de Tezuka) a été *restauré* en 4K.
Sauf qu'en dénichant une bande-annonce mise en ligne au fin fond de la programmation du Japanese Film Festival, j'ai pu y voir quelques secondes de comparaisons peu flamboyantes...
De loin, cette version *4K* ne semble pas apporter grand chose (pour rester poli), et en y regardant de plus près, je vois apparaître sur cette version *restaurée* des petites taches blanches qui sentent bon (ou plutôt mauvais) l'upscale pourri.
Bref, ce film mériterait une vraie remasterisation, d'autant plus qu'il avait été projeté - et primé - au festival de Venise.
Sachant aussi qu'il ne s'agit pas d'une simple compilation de la série, puisqu'ils avaient justement pour ce film refaits des scènes de la série en meilleure qualité, pour mieux coller avec la vision originelle de Tezuka.

"In Waves" est un projet de long métrage d'animation français réalisé par Phuong Mai Nguyen (ancienne des Gobelins et de La Poudrière) que j'avais déjà évoqué en 2021 dans le cadre de sa présentation au festival pro du Cartoon Movie, et qui semble toujours d'actualité puisqu'il sera également présenté lors du prochain Marché du Film de Cannes.

Produit par Diabolo Film, Mondex et Cie, Bidibul, et Le Pacte, le film est basé sur le poème persan "La Conférence des oiseaux" écrit il y a près de 900 ans par le poète Farid al-Din Attar, en 1177.

"A New Dawn" est un projet de long métrage d'animation franco-japonais réalisé par Yoshitoshi Shinomiya (collaborateur régulier de Makoto Shinkai), produit par Asmik Ace (Japon) et Miyu (France), et qui sera présenté lors du prochain Marché du Film de Cannes.
Un projet très personnel inspiré par l'évolution du paysage japonais après le grand tremblement de terre de 2011 au Japon.
Niveau staff sont déjà aussi annoncés Utsushita au character design, Akiko Majima en directeur artistique, et Shuta Hasunuma à la musique, ainsi que la participation du Studio Outrigger. Le tout pour une sortie envisagée courant 2025.
En rappelant que j'avais déjà repéré Mr Shinomiya ici et là, et que je vous invite également à suivre son compte Instagram où il poste beaucoup de décors / travaux personnels.
Et en précisant aussi que la première image ci-dessous fournie pour la "com" officielle de ce projet est en fait issue d'un précédent boulot de l'artiste (notamment déjà utilisé par Toei).
