Pixar a dévoilé la première bande annonce de Turning Red (Alerte rouge), leur prochain long-métrage d'animation prévu pour le printemps 2022.
Ce film est dirigé par la réalisatrice Domee Shi, qui avait déjà signé le court-métrage "Bao".

J'ai le plaisir de vous proposer un extrait exclusif du long-métrage d'animation français Le Sommet des Dieux réalisé par Patrick Imbert d'après le manga de Jiro Taniguchi et Baku Yumemakura.
Le film sera projeté ce soir au Festival de Cannes, et sortira dans les salles françaises le 29 septembre 2021 via Wild Bunch.
Co-produit par Folivari, Julianne Films et Melusine Productions, ce projet avait pour la première fois été annoncé en 2013.
Le scénario a été écrit par Magali Pouzol, Patrick Imbert et Jean-Charles Ostorero. La direction artistique a été supervisée par David Coquard-Dassault et Mikael Robert.
Au storyboard on retrouve Christelle Abgrall, Franz Kirchner, Etienne Mattera, Marietta Ren et Quentin Reubrecht.
Synopsis (français)
A Katmandou, le reporter japonais Fukamachi croit reconnaître Habu Jôji, cet alpiniste que l'on pensait disparu depuis des années. Il semble tenir entre ses mains un appareil photo qui pourrait changer l’histoire de l’alpinisme. Et si George Mallory et Andrew Irvine étaient les premiers hommes à avoir atteint le sommet de l’Everest, le 8 juin 1924 ? Seul le petit Kodak Vest Pocket avec lequel ils devaient se photographier sur le toit du monde pourrait livrer la vérité. 70 ans plus tard, pour tenter de résoudre ce mystère, Fukamachi se lance sur les traces de Habu. Il découvre un monde de passionnés assoiffés de conquêtes impossibles et décide de l’accompagner jusqu’au voyage ultime vers le sommet des dieux.
Synopsis (english)
Were George Mallory and his companion Andrew Irvine the first men to scale Everest on June 8th, 1924? Only the little Kodak VPK camera they took with them might reveal the truth. In Kathmandu, 70 years later, a young Japanese reporter named Fukamachi recognizes the camera in the hands of the mysterious Habu Jôji, an outcast climber believed missing for years. Fukamachi enters a world of obsessive mountaineers hungry for impossible conquests on a journey that leads him, step by step, towards the summit of the gods.

Annoncé depuis longtemps (première news en 2013), le long-métrage d'animation Où est Anne Frank ! (Where Is Anne Frank) réalisé par Ari Folman (Valse avec Bachir, Le Congrès) est enfin terminé, et projeté cette semaine à Cannes.
Co-produit par Samsa Film et Doghouse Films (Luxembourg), Purple Whale et Walking the Dog (Belgique), Bridgit Folman Film Gang (Israël), et Submarine (Netherlands), ce film sortira dans les salles françaises le 24 novembre 2021 via Le Pacte.

Alors que la série a été achetée par Netflix pour le monde, c'est Amazon qui a remporté les enchères pour le dernier film d'Evangelion.
L'ultime film de la saga Evangelion:3.0+1.01 sortira donc le 13 août dans 240 pays (hors Japon) sur la plateforme Amazon Prime Video, aux côtés des 3 autres/précédents films de la saga Rebuild où Hideaki Anno revisite son oeuvre culte.

Aujourd'hui je vous fais découvrir Esluna: The Crown of Babylon, long-métrage d'animation canadien de 120 minutes réalisé seul par Denver Jackson, et produit via son studio Cloudrise Pictures.
Le plus fou, c'est que Denver a déjà réalisé en solo une web-série de 9 épisodes Esluna: The First Monolith dans le même univers.
Et il est actuellement en recherche de partenaires pour distribuer son film (qui est terminé et notamment sélectionné dans la section Frontières du Marché du film de Cannes cette année).
Ce long-métrage n'a pour l'instant été projeté qu'au Shanghai International Film Festival, et voici le premier trailer :

Ghost Cat Anzu ("Anzu, chat-fantôme") est un projet de long-métrage d'animation franco-japonais produit par Shin-Ei Animation (Doraemon, Crayon Shin-chan) et Miyu Productions.
Les réalisateur.ice.s sont Nobuhiro Yamashita (habitué du live action) et Yoko Kuno (dont je vous avais parlé pour divers clips et pubs).
L'histoire est adaptée d'un manga de Takashi Imashiro, et les premières images sont très prometteuses.
Karin, 11 ans, est abandonnée par son père chez son grand-père, le moine d’une petite ville de la province japonaise. Celui-ci demande à Anzu, son chat-fantôme jovial et serviable bien qu’assez capricieux, de veiller sur elle. La rencontre de leurs caractères bien trempés provoque des étincelles, du moins au début…
Karin, 11 years old, is abandoned by her father at her grandfather’s house, the monk of a small town in the Japanese countryside. Her grandfather asks Anzu, his jovial and helpful although rather capricious ghost cat, to look after her. The meeting of their strong characters causes sparks, at least at the beginning…

Souvenez-vous, il y a 12 ans je vous parlais d'un projet de long-métrage d'animation réalisé par Geof Darrow d'après son propre comics Shaolin Cowboy et produit au studio japonais Madhouse.
Plus de nouvelles depuis, mais l'auteur a récemment révélé que la production du film avait bien été lancée, puis stoppée suite à la crise financière de 2008 (et autres raisons...), alors que 45% des plans étaient déjà faits... Un vrai gâchis, dont une seule image de décor reste en souvenir dans le témoignage en question.
