Le pilote du projet (avorté) de film live de "Domu" réalisé par Katsuhiro Otomo (d'après son propre manga) sera à nouveau projeté au Niigata International Animation Film Festival en mars au Japon, qui consacre en outre un cycle de projections de la plupart des oeuvres audiovisuelles relatives au mangaka.

Et contrairement à la com' qui en est faite, il ne s'agira donc pas du tout de la première projection en public de ce pilote de Domu, puisqu'il avait déjà été montré lors de la conférence d'Otomo en 2016 au festival d'Angoulême.

J'en garde un souvenir mitigé, ce pilote produit en 2013 étant assez cheap, et d'autres réalisateurs s'étant déjà essayé (en vain) à adapter ce manga en prise de vue réelle, comme par exemple David Lynch, ou Guillermo del Toro (tous deux dans les années 90, déjà).

Et sinon il est toujours possible de (re)lire le manga en écoutant la BO dérivée imaginée autour de cette oeuvre, et ressortie en vinyl en 2021 ;-]
