8 ans après sa première campagne Kickstarter en 2016 (suivie d'autres), le projet indépendant japonais Mecha-Ude (Mechanical Arms) de la réalisatrice Sae Okamoto & du studio TriF est donc devenu une série, coproduite avec CyberConnect2 & Pony Canyon, et dont la diffusion est désormais calée en Octobre 2024.
