Première image de "ChaO", le nouveau long-métrage d'animation du Studio 4°C, dont l'existence a été révélée aujourd'hui, mais dont la production a commencé secrètement il y a déjà 7 ans.

Réalisé par Yasuhiro Aoki, habitué de ce studio, connu notamment pour "Tweeny Witches" et son court sur "Batman Gotham Knight", ainsi que bien d'autres prods de 4°C plus courtes et plus confidentielles (sauf chez moi) comme "Kimagure Robot", "Fluximation", "Amazing Nuts", ou même le pilote (jamais diffusé) de l'adaptation du manga "Orion" de Shirow.

Parmi les autres membres du staff communiqués : Hirokazu Kojima en character designer, et Hiroshi Takiguchi en directeur artistique.

Pas moins de 100 000 dessins ont été faits pour ce film, dont la sortie est prévue cet été, avec Toei à la distribution.

A future society where humans and mermaids coexist. Stephen, an office worker, is suddenly asked to marry by Chao, a princess of the mermaid kingdom! A 100% pure love story!
