Ceux qui suivent la programmation au long cours du Musée Ghibli le savent : cet établissement projette régulièrement des oeuvres d'animation étrangères chères à Hayao Miyazaki et à (feu) Isao Takahata (avec parfois pamphlets et expositions associés, voire participation de Ghibli dans la distribution de ces films au Japon).

Afin de marquer les 20 ans de cette dynamique, une programmation spéciale "Mitaka no Mori Ghibli Museum Library 20th Anniversary Film Festival" sera proposée au sein du cinéma Bunkamura (Shibuya, Tokyo) pendant deux semaines à partir du 16 janvier.

Y seront projetés :

- "Abracadabra", "Crac", "The Man Who Planted Trees", "The Mighty River" de Frederic Back

- "Mr. Bug Goes to Town" de Fleischer Studios

- "Kirikou and the Sorceress" de Michel Ocelot

- "Wrinkles" (Arrugas) d'Ignacio Ferreras
