En août dernier je vous parlais du long-métrage live indépendant philippin Saving Sally, réalisé par Avid Liongoren, mélangeant prises de vues réelles à diverses techniques 2D et 3D. Un petit projet quasi auto-financé par le réalisateur (qui a quand même reçu une aide du CNC via "Fonds Sud"), qu'il réalise sur son temps libre depuis 3 ans, qui est presque fini (objectif prochain festival de Toronto) mais problème ... l'actrice qui jouait Sally n'est plus disponible, et il doit recruter d'urgence une nouvelle comédienne afin de reshooter l'ensemble du film (!).



Je sais qu'il y a peu de chances pour que vous connaissiez une telle personne, parlant anglais et philippin (et pouvant aller sur place), mais ce projet un peu fou me plaît alors voila. C'est aussi l'occasion d'en reparler.

L'annonce se trouve sur le blog sur réalisateur, je la poste en fin de news, mais avant je vous re-propose le vidéo clip officiel en meilleure qualité, ainsi qu'un pré-montage de la 1ère séquence du film qu'Avid m'a envoyé. Il y mélange les rush avec ses dessins, qui sont de manière générale aussi à zieuter, notamment toute une série sur de photos trafiquées avec des créatures (voir ci-dessous également).

Saving Sally Casting Call

Saving Sally is a film about a boy, a girl, some robots & monsters. You can view an early trailer & images from the film over at http://www.savingsally.com

It was almost done, but due to circumstances that our super powers couldn't control, our lead actress is no longer available. We need to re-shoot the whole film.

We need a new Sally.
We need someone that is naturally quirky, incidentally pretty (not unapproachably drop dead gorgeous), dramatically enabled & speaks great English & Filipino.

So if you, or someone you know is interested… here is what you need to do.

1. Download this description of the Sally character & read it.

2. With your web cam, digicam or whatever, talk about yourself (your day, your hobbies, what you ate, whatever) in character, as Sally.

Keep it short… a minute of rambling is enough. After that, pretend that your best friend (the camera) noticed a bruise on your neck & as Sally… you cover it up with a silly story & remain cheerful but an underlying sadness should be apparent.

3. Upload that video somewhere & email the link to saving_sally@yahoo.com (the link, not the video itself).

Attach current ID & full body pix as well (so we know you are human & not some fish hybrid). We don’t need your portfolio… just a simple representation of how you look sans the fancy shmancy makeup & fashion spread clothes.

So there! We are scheduling the shoot from late March to early April, please do not bother sending a video clip if you live on the moon or is planning to go to school there.

We will accept casting videos until March 3 2009. : )
