Après Adventure Time, Cartoon Network vient de lancer une autre série un peu décalée, nommée Regular Show. Son créateur, J.G. Quintel, avait originellement développé le projet en un court-métrage produit par le Cartoonstitute, une section labo de la chaîne. L'histoire de Mordecai (un geai bleu) et Rigby (un raton laveur), deux amis travaillant dans un parc.
