L'américain Lesean Thomas (Cannon Busters, The Boondocks) a révélé le premier trailer de Children Of Ether, projet dont il est le créateur/réalisateur, et qui est animé par le studio franco-japonais Yapiko Animation.

Il s'agit là d'une des premières productions originales financée par Crunchyroll, même si rien ne dit pour l'instant que ça ira au delà de l'épisode pilote.

Je rappelle aussi quelques grands noms internationaux qui participent à cette aventure : Hiroshi Shimizu au character design, Shingo Natsume au storyboard, Jamie Vickers à l'animation ... et pas mal de français : Antoine Antin, Cedric Herole, Alexandre Ulmann, Eddie Mehong, Yann Le Gall, Etienne Guignard, Myriam Fourati ...



Children of Ether follows Rhonda, a woman with a dark past and a mysterious power, as she is pursued by an unknown assailant after the death of her father. Aided only by her wits and a pair of orphans, Rhonda journeys through a decaying, dystopian metropolis populated by raiders, gangs, and the supernatural. As she struggles to survive in this harsh urban tangle, she meets both friends and enemies, and searches for answers about this power, "The Ether", awakening within her.
