Avec la complicité du réalisateur Dice Tsutsumi du studio Tonko House (The Dam Keeper & co), j'ai le plaisir de relayer le tout premier teaser de leur série d'animation Oni: Thunder God's Tale, produite pour Netflix.

Une mini-série américo/japonaise de 4 épisodes où l'on retrouve Mari Okada (Maquia, Anohana, A Whisker Away...) au scénario, en partenariat avec les studios Megalis VFX, Marza & Anima. Le tout produit par Sara K. Sampson (Glen Keane Productions). La technique étant ici de la 3D avec un feeling 2D / stop-motion dans l'anim.

A noter que l'équipe présentera une conférence Work In Progress autour de cette série lors du prochain Festival d'Annecy, en présence notamment de Dice Tsutsumi, Mari Okada et Robert Kondo.



- Synopsis:
In a world filled with Japanese mythological oddball gods and monsters, one of the creatures' free-spirited daughters, Onari, is determined to follow in the footsteps of the mighty heroes of lore, but her unique powers are yet to be revealed. Does she have what it takes to fight to protect her peaceful village from the encroaching threat of the gods' mysterious enemies, the "Oni"?
