Il y a 5 ans je vous parlais de "Alan The Infinite", projet de mini série de Mikey Please et Daniel Ojari produit par les studios Parabella et Blink Industries.

Depuis les réalisateurs ont continué à travailler sur ce projet indé (tout en réalisant entre temps Robin Robin chez Aardman pour Netflix) qui a finalement abouti à un court métrage de 10 minutes, mis en ligne aujourd'hui.

Et si vous vous posez la question : oui, il s'agit bien d'animation stop-motion, très maitrisée et peaufinée (cf d'autres précédents boulots de Mikey notamment), et c'est toujours un régal pour les yeux. A noter d'ailleurs l'utilisation d'anim 2D pour l'animation des yeux et autres éléments faciaux.



Alan’s excited! It’s his first day at Lamin’8– a stale, grey, humdrum lamination company. Oh boy! If he buckles up, stays focused and impresses Gary, his unhinged boss, this might just be a job for life. But all is not quite as it seems, and when Alan accidentally unleashes cosmic, supernatural forces into the office, he realises that fitting in at Lamin’8 is going to be infinitely more tricky than he ever could have dreamed.



Long before their Oscar-nominated film "Robin Robin" was a twinkle in Netflix’s eye, Mikey Please & Daniel Ojari were hard at work cooking up "Alan The Infinite", a ten-minute stop motion epic, combining wooden carved sets, puppets, 3D tracking and 2D animation. This is a fable about change and identity in the modern world featuring the vocal talents of Baker Terry, comedian Rob Carter and Dan Ojari himself in the titular role. After being sat in cold internet storage for far too long, we’re delighted, at last, to share "Alan The Infinite".
