Ghost Cat Anzu ("Anzu, chat-fantôme") est un projet de long-métrage d'animation franco-japonais produit par Shin-Ei Animation (Doraemon, Crayon Shin-chan) et Miyu Productions.

Les réalisateur.ice.s sont Nobuhiro Yamashita (habitué du live action) et Yoko Kuno (dont je vous avais parlé pour divers clips et pubs).

L'histoire est adaptée d'un manga de Takashi Imashiro, et les premières images sont très prometteuses.







Karin, 11 ans, est abandonnée par son père chez son grand-père, le moine d’une petite ville de la province japonaise. Celui-ci demande à Anzu, son chat-fantôme jovial et serviable bien qu’assez capricieux, de veiller sur elle. La rencontre de leurs caractères bien trempés provoque des étincelles, du moins au début…

Karin, 11 years old, is abandoned by her father at her grandfather’s house, the monk of a small town in the Japanese countryside. Her grandfather asks Anzu, his jovial and helpful although rather capricious ghost cat, to look after her. The meeting of their strong characters causes sparks, at least at the beginning…

Toujours pas de trailer, et toujours autant de craintes, mais au moins la série live de Cowboy Bebop produite par Netflix se paye la compositrice originale Yoko Kanno pour la musique du show, comme en témoigne cette vidéo diffusée lors de la Geeked Week hier et qui mets en scène les acteurs de la série.

"L'office du Loplop" (Loplop's worship) est un tout petit mais joli film de 22 secondes réalisé par Solal Girardin (étudiant à l'école l'Atelier d'Angoulême), en hommage au travail du peintre Max Ernst.

Et ce qui est intéressant, c'est qu'alors qu'il est encore étudiant, Solal est déjà en train de travailler sur des prods, notamment des animes japonais, puisqu'il a été animateur sur des séries comme Boruto et Zombieland Saga.

Souvenez-vous, il y a 12 ans je vous parlais d'un projet de long-métrage d'animation réalisé par Geof Darrow d'après son propre comics Shaolin Cowboy et produit au studio japonais Madhouse.

Plus de nouvelles depuis, mais l'auteur a récemment révélé que la production du film avait bien été lancée, puis stoppée suite à la crise financière de 2008 (et autres raisons...), alors que 45% des plans étaient déjà faits... Un vrai gâchis, dont une seule image de décor reste en souvenir dans le témoignage en question.

Aujourd'hui, Catsuka a 21 ans!

Durant l'année qui vient de s'écouler, plus de 200 artistes du monde entier ont rendu hommage à Catsuka pour son 20e anniversaire.

C'était la "Mascots Party", avec des animations et des illustrations basées sur les mascottes de mon site.

Alors pour honorer à mon tour ces cadeaux, en plus de les mettre en avant sur le site des 20 ans et mes réseaux sociaux, j'ai monté et publié aujourd'hui la "Catsuka Mascots Party" : une vidéo de 42 min avec toutes ces créations !

J'ai été vraiment surpris et honoré de recevoir autant de Catsukadeaux. Cela me motive pour au moins une nouvelle double décennie à gérer Catsuka en solo, animé par ma seule passion pour l'animation, avec mon oeil métissé !

Hippolyte Cupillard m'a envoyé La séance, très joli petit film qu'il a réalisé pour accompagner la réouverture des salles de cinéma françaises mercredi dernier.

L'animatrice japonaise indépendante Rapparu (dont je vous ai souvent parlé) vient à l'instant de sortir un nouveau chouette clip réalisé en solo pour la chanson The Naked King du groupe BIGMAMA.
