Le très joli long métrage The Concierge at Hokkyoku Department Store de Yoshimi Itazu (Pigtails, Dreaming Machine) et Production I.G, que j'avais flairé dès avril dernier, sortira l'an prochain aux USA via Crunchyroll / Sony Pictures, qui en ont acquis les droits.
Entre temps, le film a fait son avant première au dernier Festival d'Annecy, où j'ai pu le voir (et l'apprécier).
Il sort le 20 octobre au cinéma au Japon, et à noter aussi qu'une petite sortie salles est prévue en France le 6 décembre, mais attention le distributeur a décidé de changer le titre du film - "The Concierge" à l'international - en autre chose : "Le Grand Magasin - Au bonheur des animaux" (c'est le même distributeur qui avait décidé de changer "Pompo The Cinephile" en "Coming Soon").

Ci-dessous la bande annonce internationale de The Peasants (Chlopi), qui n'est en fait simplement qu'une version sous-titrée anglais du dernier trailer que j'avais déjà partagé il y a quelques jours (et qui a fait plus de 10 millions de vues, rien que sur mon compte Twitter/X, par exemple).

Le distributeur Wild Bunch vient de révéler la bande annonce et l'affiche françaises du film Le Garçon et le Héron (The Boy and the Heron) réalisé par Hayao Miyazaki au Studio Ghibli.
Cette bande annonce diffère des trailers américain et coréen, et révèle donc encore de nouveaux petits bouts de ce film de plus de 2h.
Le film est attendu dans les salles françaises le 1er novembre, et j'en profite aussi pour vous glisser l'affiche taïwanaise.

Le nouveau film d'Hayao Miyazaki et du Studio Ghibli The Boy and the Heron (Le Garçon et le Héron) se paye une nouvelle bande annonce, en provenance de Corée, et utilisant de nouveaux extraits.
Sinon je pointe aussi le trailer espagnol - où le film est ainsi nommé "El chico y la garza" - même si c'est une copie conforme de la bande annonce américaine.
A noter que j'ai eu la chance de voir le film ce soir en projection presse, mais je n'en dirai pas plus pour l'instant, pour ne pas spoiler.

The Peasants (Chlopi) : trailer final (film en roto / peinture animée par l'équipe de Loving Vincent)
Bande annonce finale pour The Peasants (Chlopi), long métrage en rotoscopie / peinture animée que je suis depuis plusieurs années.
Réalisé par Dorota Kobiela et Hugh Welchman via le studio BreakThru Films (Loving Vincent), ce film a été animé en Pologne, Serbie, Lituanie, ainsi qu'en Ukraine (une campagne crowdfunding, peu relayée, avait d'ailleurs été organisée pour soutenir leurs artistes à Kiev).
Après une avant première mondiale au TIFF, le film sort le 13 octobre au cinéma en Pologne.
L'histoire conte la vie des paysans polonais sur les 4 saisons d'une année, et s'inpire à nouveau - comme pour Loving Vincent - d'oeuvres historiques : cette fois le roman du même nom ("Les Paysans" en français) de l'écrivain polonais Wladyslaw Reymont (Prix Nobel de littérature), ainsi que d'un mouvement pictural, celui des peintres de la "Jeune Pologne" (1890-1918).

Le réalisateur Sunao Katabuchi (Dans un recoin de ce monde, Mai Mai Miracle, Princess Arete) a dévoilé un premier long trailer/pilote de 3 minutes pour son prochain long métrage The Mourning Children : Nagiko and the Girls Wearing Tsurubami Black, dont je vous avais déjà parlé.
Produit par son studio Contrail, fondé en 2021, ce film implique également Chie Uratani en co-réalisatrice, Masashi Ando en chef anim, et Yuji Kaneko en directeur artistique (qui remplace Toshiharu Mizutani, précedemment annoncé).
The film follows Kyoto during the Heian period(the 10th century) in Japan. Tens of thousands dead, gutters filled with corpses, children abandoned in the mountains, and groups of wild dogs vigilantly watching outside the city.
The elegant image of the Heian period has been shown in many literary and artistic works. However, Katabuchi's new work takes us back to Kyoto a thousand years ago, when the city was shrouded in darkness due to repeated epidemics of plague.

Et voici donc le premier trailer de The Boy and the Heron (Le Garçon et le Héron), le nouveau film d'Hayao Miyazaki et du Studio Ghibli.
Cette bande annonce officielle a été produite et mise en ligne aujourd'hui par le distributeur GKIDS pour la sortie nord américaine (USA / Canada), calée le 8 décembre.
Et donc la communication à l'international pour ce film commence bien en amont, comme pour n'importe quel film, et contrairement au Japon (où des choses ont commencé à être révélées seulement 1 mois après la sortie). Et tout cela avec l'aval de Ghibli, évidemment.
Sinon pour l'anecdote, et ce ne sont peut-être pas des coïncidences, cela fait aujourd'hui 10 ans - jour pour jour - que Miyazaki avait annoncé sa retraite lors d'une très médiatisée conférence de presse ;-] Et aujourd'hui aussi sort au Japon un coffret Bluray d'un documentaire de plus de 6 heures sur la création du Ghibli Park.

Le distributeur américain GKIDS vient de publier une "vidéo d'introduction" du long métrage d'animation The Boy and the Heron (Le Garçon et le Héron) d'Hayao Miyazaki et du Studio Ghibli.
Ne sont pour l'instant montrés que le synopsis et le logo anglais du film (sur un bout de musique probablement tiré de ce dernier), mais l'information intéressante (pour ceux qui vont jusqu'au bout des choses) c'est que la fin de cette vidéo annonce la mise en ligne d'un premier vrai teaser du film la semaine prochaine.
De quoi donc me faire encore sourire en me rappellant de la théorie perchée & infondée de quelques personnes assurant qu'il n'y aurait jamais aucune communication ni au Japon (je vous remets le lien des images officielles avec boutons de téléchargements et de partages sur le site de Ghibli) ni dans le monde entier (voili voilou).
