Note : Satoshi KON left a lasting impression on me with his film Perfect Blue, the first step of a long reflection about defining one's own identity against the demands and anxieties raised by modern society, a theme that he developed over his other films. It was a illustration from Perfect Blue, indeed, which inspired me: in Mr. KON's vision, when human beings are emptied of their substance and become objects, objects feed on it and become human. Although Satoshi Kon is no longer among us physically, he remains here with his personality permeating the works that he left behind.
