Une date anniversaire qu'a rappelé Oussama Bouacheria (sur Instagram), co-fondateur du studio avec Ulysse et Julien Chheng.
10 ans plus tard, ils auront réalisé de bien belles choses pour d'autres (Mune, Love Death + Robots, Star Wars Visions, Primal, Unicorn Wars Eternal, et même Catsuka ;-), et développent aussi toujours leurs propres projets, comme Mehdi Avis de Passage, Muyi, ou Le Collège Noir.

Peut-être qu'il s'agit de futurs nouveaux toys (car ils avaient déjà commencé jadis avant de brander le concept), peut-être qu'il s'agit d'un poisson, en tous cas ce crossover de licences continue de suivre son cours (via notamment des tshirts en ce moment chez Uniqlo par ex, y compris en France).

Le talentueux compositeur s'est éteint le 28 mars, son décès n'ayant été annoncé qu'aujourd'hui.
Connu d'abord comme membre du Yellow Magic Orchestra (YMO), il a ensuite oeuvré en solo notamment sur de très nombreuses musiques de films, l'un des plus célèbres et singuliers étant Furyo (Merry Christmas, Mr. Lawrence), où il jouait aussi en tant qu'acteur l'un des rôles principaux, aux côtés de David Bowie.
Il composa également des OST d'animes, d'Honneamise à la récente série Exception.
Il fût atteint en 2021 d'un (deuxième) cancer, qui lui a malheureusement été fatal.

Pionnier et figure emblématique de l'animation belge, et également illustrateur, il était notamment connu pour des court métrages comme Harpya et Papillons de nuit.
Il était aussi l'inventeur d'une technique d'animation bien à lui, la servaisgraphie, et fût l'un des premiers membres de l'ASIFA (Association internationale du film d'animation).

L'an dernier à Japan Expo j'avais acheté un beau fanzine qu'elles ont édité autour de ces personnages, et ces jours ci Camille a publié une belle (fausse) bande annonce - sous forme d'animatique - de "Vingt ans après" (Twenty Years After), le roman sequel aux Trois Mousquetaires par Alexandre Dumas.

C'est aujourd'hui que la triste nouvelle est tombée : le papa de Captain Harlock (Albator), Galaxy Express 999, et tant d'autres mangas de SF, s'est éteint le 13 février 2023, à l'âge de 85 ans (sa mort n'ayant été annoncée que plusieurs jours après, par respect premier pour ses funérailles et ses proches, comme cela se fait souvent au Japon).
J'avais eu la chance de le croiser au festival d'Annecy en 2011, et surtout, ses oeuvres (souvent adaptées en animation) ont fortement accompagé mon enfance, comme c'est le cas sans doute aussi pour beaucoup d'entre vous.
Adieu, capitaine.
